Mustang powerlifting sets the bar in Stockdale

The Nixon-Smiley Mustang Powerlifting teams attended the Brahma Bar Bender Invitational in Stockdale Feb. 7. Ten schools were competing: Stockdale, Kenedy, San Antonio Memorial, Yorktown, Hondo, Karnes City, Cotulla, Cuero, Navarro, and Nixon-Smiley. The Mustang boys took first place overall, and the Lady Mustangs took second place. Frida Casas won Best Overall Lifter on the Heavy Platform.
