Floresville council talks new event center roof, payscale

[Video below] The Floresville Event Center may have a new roof in its future. The city conducted an infrared scan of the event center’s 14-year-old roof and the results were presented to the Floresville City Council members during their Feb. 13 regular meeting. Tremco Roofing Field Advisor Joe Fiala told councilmembers that his infrared scan showed “multiple leak areas,” including a 20,000-squarefeet area of single-ply roofing of the building’s total 55,000 square feet. “We’re in a situation right now where simple repairs are not going to keep that building watertight,” Fiala told the council. “The metal panels are doing okay...
