You've won! Local couple doesn't fall for prize scam, warns others

It was a variation on an old scam. You may have received the phone call yourself. The caller announces that you won a prize — not just a prize, but a very big prize — millions of dollars … and a luxury car, too! Doris Whittley, who lives near East Central High School, received such a call Feb. 12 when she answered the phone.
