What did we do before Google?

Remember when encyclopedias were a household necessity? Every couple tried to purchase a set as soon as their first child was born — sort of a status symbol, if you will. My husband and I were very proud to have our first set of the Encyclopedia International in 1967. I couldn’t bear to part with them and still have them displayed in a bookcase. When someone had a question, it was, “Look it up.” Those were the days before Google! Readers are invited to share memories of the past.
