Jaguars get high marks at Regionals, earn spot at State
Floresville High School is celebrating another outstanding accomplishment from the girls powerlifting team. The Floresville Jaguars gave it their all Feb. 25 during the Regional championship competition for 4A-D1 in Edinburg: Elena Merced – first place, 148-lb. weight class. This is Elena’s second Regional Championship title as she also returns to State competition. Gabrielle Honesto – second, 242. Gabrielle will compete at State. Gabriella Contreras – third, 220 Paola Martinez – fourth, 242+.
