Lady Mustang powerlifters earn third at Regional meet

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs traveled to the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, Feb. 26. Sixteen girls qualified for the Regional meet, and nine received medals. The team placed third out of 17 with 25 points behind Natalia’s 27 and Cotulla’s 38 points. Five girls will be lifting at the State meet.
