Mustangs win big on the road

The Nixon-Smiley Mustang baseball team traveled to Bloomington Feb. 28 to take on the Bobcats in the pre-District SA Edgewood ISD tournament match-up. The Mustangs had a great game, with all players getting a run. Standouts were sophomore Garet Gonzales with two runs, three RBIs, and a batting average of .667; junior Julian Amaya with two runs, two RBIs, a batting average of .500, and he also pitched a fantastic game; and sophomore Jaydin Munoz with two runs, one RBI and a batting average of .333.
