Strong winds, fires contribute to power issues across Wilson County
High winds from a cold front are creating dangerous conditions and causing power outages throughout Wilson County and across the region. The Floresville Electric Light & Power System (FELPS), which serves more than 18,000 accounts across Wilson County, is working to restore power to more than 1,500 customers from three major outages from Stockdale to Floresville, caused by downed wires or poles.
