Chavez, Reyes take top honors in fire agility competition

Congratulations to East Central High School students Elise R. Chavez and Julian D. Reyes, who competed Feb. 22 in the Texas Public Service Teacher Association State Competition in a field of more than 400 students and brought home top honors in the fire agility course! Elise took first place, female, and Julian placed second, male. Fire Science is offered through East Central’s Career and Technical Education programs, which allow students to earn industry-based certification, jump-starting their careers.
