Community honors life of 'town barber' Octavian Estrada

A community is mourning the loss of beloved “town barber” Octavian “Tave” Estrada. The Floresville community gathered March 9 in front of The Town Barbershop on 10th Street (U.S. 181) in Floresville to honor Tave, at a place where he spent more than a decade building connections and friendships with his faithful customers. Estrada’s life was tragically cut short March 7, when he was shot in an apparent road-rage incident turned homicide. (See story, page 1A.)
