ESD 4 talks illness, injury prevention with Lions Club
The Floresville Lions Club welcomed special guests Lt. Stephanie Garcia and Advanced EMT Caleb Blackwell from Wilson County Emergency Services District 4 (ESD 4) on Feb. 27 at Jack’s Café in Floresville during their lunch meeting. Garcia, a paramedic and Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) lead, and Blackwell introduced the Lions to ESD 4’s innovative Mobile Integrated Health program and shared insights on “preventing respiratory illness.” Vision, hearing, diabetes, and overall health of the community are some of the ways that Lions Club organizations worldwide play a role in supporting communities.
