East Central hosts Special Olympics Spring Games

East Central High School’s Hornet Stadium hosted the Special Olympics Texas- San Antonio Spring Games March 7-8. Approximately 1,200 athletes with special needs competed in track and field events. Among the school districts and organizations with athletes competing were Madison, Roosevelt, La Vernia, Churchill, and Schertz-Cibolo- Universal City, IDEA Eastside, the San Antonio State Supported Living Center, ROPER-Riding Opportunities Promoting Exceptional Riders, and Best Friends.
