Poth powerlifters set PRs at State

Poth High School Pirate powerlifters did a great job at the State powerlifting meet March 21 in Abilene. Both athletes set personal records on individual lifts and overall totals. Results are as follows: Gavin Neville – 198 lbs., 13th place. Squat 550 lbs., Bench 425 lbs., deadlift 525 pounds, total 1500 lbs. Ryan Antuna – 220 lbs. 14th place. Squat 615 lbs., bench 395 lbs., deadlift 520 lbs., total 1530 lbs. “We are looking forward to what they will do next season,” shared Head Coach James Lynn.
