Police pursue undocumented alien in Poth

One man is in custody, and another has vanished, following a police pursuit last week in Poth. Around 5 p.m. March 20, a Poth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 181 in Poth for a minor traffic violation, according to Poth police Chief Gerald “Jerry” Sanchez. The officer discovered that both the driver and passenger, both male, in the vehicle were undocumented immigrants, said the chief. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted.
