Fatal shooting in Stockdale; teen in custody

A 17-year-old male is in custody, following a shooting March 27 in Stockdale. According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call for an accidental shooting in the 100 block of U.S. 87 E. late Thursday night. They found a male victim, deceased from a gunshot wound. Initially, it appeared the wound was self-inflicted. However, evidence and witness statements led investigators to conclude the shooting was not accidental. A suspect, Brody Pratt of Stockdale, has been arrested and charged with murder.
