Lady Mustangs bounce back against Lady Badgers

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs softball team traveled to Karnes City March 28 to face the Lady Badgers in a District contest, after losing to the Luling Lady Eagles at home March 25, 8-22. Head Coach Ben Donahoe stated that his goal for the game against Karnes City was to play small ball, when necessary, followed by strong clutch hitting from his power hitters. The Lady Mustangs accomplished that while also being very aggressive on the bases; they had their best defensive performance of the year.
