January jobless rate rises to 3.6 percent in Wilson County

Workforce Solutions Alamo reports the January 2025 unadjusted unemployment rate for Wilson County is 3.6 percent, increasing from 3.1 percent in December 2024. Wilson County’s December rate is lower than the 3.8 percent unemployment rate for the 13-county Workforce Development Area, including Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson counties, and lower than the 4.1 percent unemployment rate for the state of Texas.
