'Sassy quilters' stitch Quilts of Valor for local veterans

“Our mission is to see that every veteran in Wilson County is wrapped up in a quilt,” said Ginger Cole of the Wilson County Sassy Southern Quilters. Since October 2024, 10 veterans from the Wilson County area have been wrapped in the warm embrace of a Quilt of Valor. A Quilt of Valor is a handmade quilt awarded to a veteran or service member who has been touched by war, as a way of thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
