Mustang baseball falls short in District matchups

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs started their week by hosting the Stockdale Brahmas, who were on a four-game losing streak, April 8. However, the Brahmas showed up and shut down the Mustangs with a 14-1 victory. The only run for the Mustangs came from sophomore Nehemiah Alvarez in the fourth inning. The Mustangs then traveled to Luling April 11 for their second matchup of the season, defeating the Eagles, 5-3, in the first game March 25.
