Wilson County temporarily lifts burn ban

The burn ban in Wilson County has been temporarily lifted. According to County Judge Hank Whitman, the ban on outdoor burning is lifted immediately, and will remain lifted until Monday, May 12. However, there are conditions. Prior to burning, anyone intending to burn any type of material — brush, agricultural or construction debris, or other items — must contact:  •Emergency Management Coordinator Cindy Stafford at 830-393-8573 •And their nearest fire department.
