Lady Mustang softball athletes receive District honors

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustang softball program received its District honors this past week. Sophomore shortstop Grace Gomez was awarded District Defensive MVP, which is voted on by every coach in the district except her own, making this a testament to the type of softball player she is.
