REAL ID now needed for air travel

Planning a vacation this summer? Effective May 7, air travelers must present a REAL ID to board commercial aircraft. Adult passengers 18 and older must show valid identification at the airport checkpoint in order to travel. IDs that are not REAL ID compliant will no longer count as a valid form of identification at airports, beginning May 7. If you are not sure if your ID meets the requirements, check with your state department of motor vehicles. All states are issuing REAL ID-compliant driver licenses and identification cards.
