Dancing through five decades -- 'Cactus Country Band' plans 50th anniversary celebration
They played as a band for the first time on May 11, 1975, for a parish festival. This Sunday, May 11, “Cactus Country Band” will celebrate 50 years of making music with a celebration at the Martinez Social Club in San Antonio. Join them from 3-6:30 p.m. Getting in the groove Tony Franckowiak and Brenda Dlugosh met as guitarists at a Sunday-morning folk Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Antonio — and they’ve been making music together ever since!
