City installs 'gator' caution signs in Floresville River Park

Visitors to Floresville River Park may be surprised to see this “Warning: Gators in the Area” sign, which has recently been installed close to the soccer fields in the park, which are located near the San Antonio River. Alligators — while not abundant — have been spotted in the Wilson County area, and as recently as May 1 in the Floresville River Park, prompting city officials to install signs such as these, alerting park users to their possible presence.
