Shorts and stops: Austin circus, water, wind, and solar

Texas circus Brandon Waltens, writing for the Texas Scorecard, chastised Republican leaders in Austin for their lack of action. The House of Representatives allowed hundreds of bills to lay dormant while the clock ran out for taking action. Instead, the House spent months dillydallying on useless debates and other time-killing maneuvers that ultimately led to key bills to “die on the vine,” so to speak. One such casualty was House Bill 3219, which would have called for a statewide order allowing pharmacists to dispense ivermectin without a prescription.
