FELPS: We don't ask for payment in the field

Representatives of the Floresville Electric Light & Power System (FELPS) will never request payment for services in the field. Aaron Wagner, FELPS chief executive officer, said the utility shared this message in mid-May, after a customer called them, saying someone had arrived to work at their property and asked for money. “We investigated, and it was a false alarm,” Wagner told the Wilson County News. “It turned out the person was a contractor, and did not represent FELPS.” However, FELPS deemed it helpful to customers to remind everyone that: •FELPS employees will always be in uniform when out in the...
