Kenedy breaks ground on $43M water pipeline project

Better quality water is on the way for the city of Kenedy. Currently the city relies on water from local wells that has “a little more arsenic” in it, according to City Manager Melissa L. Gonzalez. But water from the Carrizo Aquifer, which is “superior quality,” will be available to city water customers in the future, piped 24 miles from two new wells drilled on C.R. 200 near Falls City, northwest of Kenedy.
