Sacred Heart parish bids farewell to Fr. Kris Bytomski

Parishioners at Sacred Heart Church gather June 4 following morning Mass to bid farewell to their parish priest, Fr. Kris Bytomski (back, center). It was his last Mass as pastor of the Floresville parish; he is beginning a new role as a U.S. Air Force chaplain. Fr. Kris has served at Sacred Heart since 2021. Area residents became accustomed to seeing him in the skies above, flying his powered paraglider — Fr. Kris even offered a flight with him as a prize in a parish fundraiser! Sacred Heart parish will welcome Fr. Raphael Negroni July 1 as the parochial administrator....
