La Vernia Veterans Memorial celebrates final phase with obelisk installation

Exciting things are happening at the La Vernia Veterans Memorial! The frame for the obelisk was lifted into place on June 5. The crane work was done by LV Crane & Rigging. Kip Workman, La Vernia Veterans Memorial construction chairman, and memorial board Chairman Walter Scull were on hand to supervise the installation. The obelisk structure, the third and final phase of the La Vernia Veterans Memorial, will be completed soon, followed by a lighting ceremony to be announced.
