A piece of La Vernia history comes crashing down

Timber! The old elevated water storage tower that served the city of La Vernia for many years and let folks know exactly where they were for decades teeters and tumbles to the ground June 16. No longer serviceable, it was replaced by a new elevated water storage tower, built in 2019, adjacent to the Woodbridge Farms subdivision.
