Locals help flood recovery

A crew of Floresville Electric Light & Power System linemen is helping restore power to the Hill Country communities devastated by July 4 flooding. The mutual aid crew left Floresville early Saturday, arriving in Kerrville by 8 a.m. to help the Kerrville Public Utility Board. Crews from across Texas raced to assist in the wake of the floods. Some areas were still without power at press time July 7, as rescue and recovery efforts continued. Nine Wilson County Sheriff’s Office personnel also deployed to the Hill Country to help.
