Wilson County honors local patriots
FLORESVILLE — A historical marker was unveiled July 12 at the Wilson County Courthouse to honor patriots who supported the cause for liberty in the American Revolution. The event, made possible chiefly through the efforts of the Susanna Dickinson Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), and the Wilson County Historical Commission, followed a reception inside the courthouse. The America 250 Patriot Marker’s placement is part of a nationwide NSDAR campaign to recognize those who contributed to the cause of the American Revolution, as the United States prepares to celebrate its semiquincentennial — 250th birthday — in 2026....
