China Grove applauds departing police sergeant

China Grove police Chief Ralph Sramek applauds police Sgt. Daniel Vickers after presenting him with a letter of appreciation July 10 for his service to the community. Vickers resigned his position to accept employment elsewhere after working for the city for two and a half years, with almost two years as sergeant. China Grove police Lt. Osaretin Amadin also presented Vickers with a large wooden “Come and Take It” sign on behalf of department members.
