Cestohowa Altar Society celebrates 70 years

The Cestohowa Altar Society is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. It was organized July 3, 1955, under the direction of then pastor, Rev. Julius Dworaczyk. The purpose of the Cestohowa Altar Society was to get women involved as active members of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish. They could voice their opinions or concerns, speak, and act as a unit on all matters of parish interest. Promoting spiritual and social activities for the women of the parish was essential.
