Hill Country floods Just over one week ago, an unprecedented amount of rain fell on strategic areas of the Hill Country, resulting in devastating flooding. The fact that it was the July 4 holiday weekend meant that an unknown number of people were camping in the area and, thus, the number of those missing, currently reported at 161, continues to change as the search continues.
