Nixon-Smiley schools plan 'Meet the Teacher' events

The first day of school for students in the Nixon- Smiley Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is Thursday, Aug. 7. Before that, teachers on all campuses will welcome students at orientation and “Meet the Teacher” events taking place that week.
