Floresville amps up for rodeo; updates zoning ordinance
Bull riders and team ropers, get your chaps and lassos ready — Floresville City Council has a date in the books for a roughstock rodeo event in Floresville. At the council’s July 24 meeting, Rev. Ray Warren, pastor of Haven Oaks Community Bible Church in Sutherland Springs, spoke to council members regarding his hope to bring roughstock rodeo to the area Nov. 8, bringing revenue to the city and honoring the cowboy history of Floresville and surrounding areas.
