Today, folks visiting Stockdale can stay at All Tucked Inn Cabins or the Stockdale Inn & Suites. But do you remember the Merimac Motel? It was February 1963, and Mr. and Mrs. Hal McGee were “completing additions and improvements” to make their Merimac Motel in Stockdale “one of the most modern motels” in this part of Texas with all the modern conveniences of the day.
