A La Vernia Independent School District (ISD) bus full of students is among the vehicles idling Aug. 4 on Bluebonnet Road (F.M. 775) after turning off U.S. 87 near Koepp Chevrolet, waiting to deliver students to La Vernia junior high and high school campuses for their first day of classes as the new school year began; traffic in La Vernia backed up in both directions Monday on F.M. 775 and on F.M. 1346 with back-to-school traffic.
