Back-to-school sales tax holiday Aug. 8-10

The Texas Comptroller’s Office reminds shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday Friday through Sunday, Aug. 8-10. State law exempts sales tax on qualified items — such as clothing, footwear, school supplies, and backpacks — priced below 0 — saving shoppers about on every 0 they spend.
