Floresville schools, district earn national recognition

Floresville Independent School District (ISD) is capturing kids’hearts! During the district’s Aug. 4 board meeting, trustees (back row) recognized Floresville South Elementary School with Principal Monica Schlueter (l-r); Floresville North Elementary School with Principal Stephanie Cruz, Floresville ISD Superintendent Jason Gilstrap and Assistant Superintendent Heather Brooks; and Floresville Middle School with Principal Jim Reily, as National Showcase Schools through the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program. The program aims to strengthen school culture by encouraging healthy relationships amongst students, teachers, and peers.
