Oak Hills Community Church celebrates Joel Odom's 25 years as pastor

The families of Oak Hills Community Church north of Floresville surprised Pastor Joel Odom July 20 with a celebration of his 25 years as pastor of the congregation. “Joel walked into the sanctuary and said, ‘What are our children doing here?’ then he looked around a bit more and the gig was up!” said his wife, Raynell, of the surprise celebration. Dr. Darrell Horn, executive director of the San Antonio Baptist Association, attended with his wife, Karen. Horn presented Odom with a certificate, acknowledging his long service.
