Heavy rains prompt flash flood warning for Elmendorf, Canada Verde areas

Isolated heavy rain from thunderstorms is causing flash flooding in some parts of Wilson County and surrounding areas.     The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning for west central Wilson County until 6:15 p.m. This includes areas in and around Cañada Verde and Elmendorf.     Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in these areas. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
