Recent rain is hit or miss

Feast your eyes now, as you might not see this again any time soon! Isolated pockets of heavy rain Aug. 21 filled rain gauges in parts of northwestern Wilson County, while giving other areas a complete miss. This rain gauge near F.M. 1303 and C.R. 122 is almost full; thunderstorms that day also caused some minor flash flooding, especially on low-water crossings and along creeks and streams.
