Floresville council talks pay raises, city roles

Floresville city Councilman Frances Flores discusses changes in the city’s organizational chart with (l-r) Interim City Manager Monica Veliz and Administrative Services Director Margaret Tejada during the council’s budget workshop Aug. 20. The proposed 2025-26 budget, property-tax rate, and organizational chart — which demonstrates the city’s hierarchy of authority — will come to a vote during the Aug. 28 regular meeting. According to Finance Director Cynthia Sturm, the budget includes a 3-percent, across-the-board cost-of-living raise for city employees.
