Nixon-Smiley wins nailbiter over Luling, 22-21

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs provided their fans with a game to remember Friday night, rallying in the fourth quarter to narrowly beat the Luling Eagles 22-21 in an exciting home opener Aug. 29. The Mustangs fought from behind nearly the entire game, showing grit and determination every step of the way. Luling capitalized on a turnover in the third quarter to grab momentum, but Nixon-Smiley refused to back down.
