Phylis Williams joins China Grove City Council
New China Grove City Council member Phylis Williams takes the oath of office from City Secretary Melinda Sauceda Aug. 21, after the city council appointed her to fill an empty seat on the council. The vacancy was created when only two candidates ran for three at-large council seats in May 2025. Since this seat was filled by appointment, it will be subject to election in May 2026.
