We deserve better

Editor: Re: “Equipment sale, purchase turn into indictments for Wilson County officials” Aug. 27 Texas Rangers and FBI sniffing around? That’s not a game of hide-and-seek; that’s real accountability knocking. Or is it a political smear job? Some suggest it’s not purely a coincidence that Auditor Treviño is currently running for county judge, and Commissioner Jeffery Pierdolla supposedly leans against the establishment. On one hand, we have the possibility of criminal financial acts by public servants.
