Candlelight vigil for Charlie Kirk set for Saturday night in La Vernia

Community members are invited to gather Saturday, Sept. 13, in the La Vernia City Park, where a gathering will be held at the gazebo to honor Charlie Kirk.     The gathering starts at 7 p.m. to remember Kirk, conservative speaker and founder of Turning Point USA, who was shot and killed Sept. 10 as he spoke at an outdoor event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.     Families are welcome at Saturday’s event, hosted by local resident Jacob Buckley, which will include music, conversation, and an opportunity to sign a Bible that will be mailed to...
