Take away 'less than 30 days' orders

Editor: Thank you, President Trump, for calling up our National Guard. We need them. May I? Please do not take the following in any disrespect. There is still the practice of issuing mobilization orders “under 30 days.” Often these are issued repeatedly. This purposefully keeps Reserve Component (National Guard and Reserves) “citizen soldiers” from receiving Active Duty benefits, such as insurance for their families, food allowance, etc. As one who has served our great nation through active Army, National Guard, and Reserves, these “less than 30 days” repeating orders are nothing new, but leave many of our nation’s citizen soldiers...
